is supremely over rated. When i first got here, i was thrilled that it was as easily available as LAKME is in India ( Bodyshop hadn’t launched in bby then ) I went bonkers getting all the fragrances.. lotions, shower gels, body scrubs.. the works!!!
At first, i loved it.. loved to indulge in the fresh feel of it all.. back in college, i had very little access and very little money to buy it. So here i was, freaking out!! That was THE thing for me to gift, to one and all..for any occasion.. nothing can be as universally appealing as body shop i strongly concluded. I went to Bombay carrying loads of packs for bridge’s sisters as rakhi gifts…for friends and that was a common gift to carry even when i first went to anyone’s home.
Ask me now? when the initial craze and obsession is through…. i realize that it doesn’t actually moisturize.. the fragrances don’t last THAT long… the hand lotion does nothing to the cracks in my hand
and worst of all…with my new POV, i also find it supremely over priced… its just not worth spending all that much !! blah!!!
why am i doing a post on this one? i dont know.. i am just annoyed with myself at being ridden over by a BRAND name..boooo!! and i not even the type to run after a brand.. BODYSHOP however was something i wanted since college days… and my ire multiplied when the products expired much before they were supposed to.. hello?? at least last for an entire year sweetie… like you promised on the top of your bottle??
So..anyway… i just wanted to vent out… and it’s also out now that i AM a shopoholic and i get super carried away.. will do another detailed post and my confessions of being one
Well..well… you have passed on the Bodyshop craze to me…. I walked in to the shop at Inorbit and blew rs.1600… thanks to KM
why this digression? I thought this blog was devoted to Kunju, children, etc…Surely Kunju has perhaps no present or future interest in your likes and dislikes of Bodyshop or Aamir, etc..
why not use your other blog for “non-Kunju” topics?
Kunju’s mom: kindly read “ABOUT” this blog… and the non kunju topics are listed in non baby stuff… so its clearly defined.. maintaining two blogs is very painful and time consuming for me… besides, kunju needs to know the other aspects of mummy’s life as well when she grows up, no?
